As Director of Planning, Mo Darwish is responsible for assisting communities with project funding. His planning and funding expertise has serviced dozens of municipalities in the Northeastern Ohio area. He has implemented several creative financing strategies to assist local agencies with the development and planning of their public improvement needs. Mo has a thorough understanding regarding infrastructure needs and upgrades, along with the experience to finance these projects successfully.

Mo has 20 years of experience in the Public Sector, six of which were spent serving as ODOT Deputy Director for District 4. He has served as the Governor’s representative at the Ohio Turnpike Commission as a member to oversee all contracts, budgets and long range plans along the Ohio Turnpike for highway improvements. Mo also served as the liaison between the governor’s office, the Ohio Turnpike Commission and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Mo earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and his master’s degree in engineering science from Youngstown State University. He is a member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and American Society of Highway Engineers.
